I'm Florencia Toyos, but everyone calls me Flora. 
And I’m a children’s illustrator and author based in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
I create character-driven worlds filled with humor, warmth, and emotional depth. I’m drawn to the small, meaningful moments of childhood, the relationships between generations, and the subtle magic hidden in everyday life.
The spirit of Argentine childhood has deeply shaped my visual language. Its traditions, celebrations, humor, and symbolic rituals often appear in my work, adding cultural texture and a sense of place to the stories I tell.
Alongside commissioned projects, I often write and develop my own stories, building visual narratives from the first idea to the final image. I’m especially interested in picture books where illustration and storytelling grow together.
I am currently seeking representation with a literary agency for picture book projects.
